If you read my "EncyCLOSETpedia" post, you are familiar with my desire to stay on a neutral color spectrum with the occasional pop of color when it comes to my wardrobe. I chronically suffer from "the closet full of clothes with nothing to wear" lifestyle so it was time for a change and to efficiently use what I currently have by integrating old pieces into new outfits. Of course I still shop here and there, but my new approach is to be efficient and understand the concept of mixing pieces and creating new looks!
I've had this peplum top and navy trousers for over two years and no one could have convinced me to wear them again. Because I often wore my top with destroyed jeans and my slacks in a dressier way, I felt confined to follow rules. Realistically speaking, that did not work for me as I wanted my monies worth and the ability to repeat pieces, even if they are a statement like this peplum top. So here is my first challenge to glam, slay & repeat! I kept it nice and simple by adding nude accessories and dainty jewelry since this shirt spoke for itself with its neon lining and defined tail.
So this is my conclusive advice, it's absolutely okay to wear the same pieces over and over again. Bloggers do it too; we just don't capture it twice! Your outfit looks too fabulous? Honey you wear it again if you want to! Bored of the look? Switch it up with accessories and jewelry.
Wear those stilettos, GLAM it up, SLAY your outfit and don't ever be afraid to REPEAT it.
