Ultra Matte & Dirt Cheap.

I know everyone has been on the bandwagon of raving about the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipsticks but there are reasons why!

After much anticipation for these liquid lipsticks to be restocked, I can truly understand why everyone on social media has been raving about the Colourpop Ultra Matte  Lipsticks. I remember wanting to purchase them the day they launched but as soon as I was actually able to get on my laptop they were ALL SOLD OUT! You could imagine how annoyed I was that an item I eagerly wanted to try had slipped away at a mere cyber click, but I was also being a junkie.

However, I was finally able to order six of them and let me tell you, it took everything in me not to just keep adding more shades to my cart. I did not want to splurge, since they are some of the cheapest lipsticks I have encountered, only to end up not liking them. So, I patiently waited to try the first batch then make a decision.

I LOVE them, I've had them for a couple of weeks now and I love them for three reasons. For one, they are $6 which is about one third the price of a high-end liquid lipstick. Secondly, they do not transfer whatsoever! Eat, drink, kiss (like a tap kiss ladies, no frenching in this case) and these colors will not budge. Lastly, they are also so pigmented you only need two coats maximum for some applications. I honestly think Colourpop did a great job at replicating these ever so lasting and pricey products.

Before applying, my recommendation would be scrubbing your lips, applying a balm and a lip liner. My initial concern was how drying and how much of a liquid consistency they have in comparison to the creamy consistency other high end lipsticks have. But for $6?! I will make it work because at the end of the day is it still Ultra Matte and Dirt Cheap!
