To my girls who have experienced a loved one with breast cancer, your strength is appreciated.
As a child still living in Benin, I often imagined of wearing fancy coats and watching the air come out of my breath in the coldest winter. Snow was as much of a fairytale as reindeers were coming from the North Pole. The heaviest thing on the market were light weight sweaters for our second season on the beaming equator, fall.
Attaining this fancy faux fur coat and shooting on a breezy day may be an acute experience to many but rather extraordinary one and fulfilling my childhood dream to myself. As I wear it in monochromatic pink to represent the fight against breast cancer, I hope finding the cure is an attainable dream that also comes to fruition.
I've had this faux fur coat from House of CB for a year now and could not wait to style it when it got a bit chilly. I loved it for it's great quality, coziness and perfect shade of pink. While the entire outfit may be a little daring, I truly felt compelled to style it in a way that represented my more than often bold taste and payed tribute to the breast cancer fighters.
What are some foundations you know of that support the fight against breast cancer? Have you volunteered for Pink October? What was your experience like? Comment below!
