In addition to purchasing their Ordinary Skincare Line, I went ahead and got the Deciem Serum & Coverage Foundations. I mean, why not? Both totaled to a whopping $13.60 in addition to their superb return policy, (anything used could be refunded within a timeframe) so did I really have anything to lose?
I hesitantly reviewed both products side by side prior to going to work and to my dismay, they look identical but felt different. The coverage foundation, made of a pigment suspension system with high coverage, felt creamier. While the serum foundation, made of a lightweight suspension system, had moderate coverage and felt water-like. The duos come in 21 different shades each, ranging from very fair to deep - annoyingly I am the deepest shade (3.2R) and that obviously contradicts with the fact that I am not the deepest shade of melanin.
I felt the need to compare and contrast these two side by side so you could truly see the products for what it is. The foundations are cruelty-free, naturally made, and most importantly contain SPF 15. My only concern for these reasonably prices and beautiful packaged foundations is, HAVE MORE DARK SHADES! I can't stress enough how important it is to equally represent darker shades. There is a common misconception that "dark" "deep" is the darker shade of makeup and we truly need to go beyond that. It's 2018, please do better.
Watch until the end of the video to see how my face looked with these foundations, after a very busy 12 hours!
